An adaptive learning and assessment platform that personalizes lessons, practice, and exams while giving teachers actionable performance insight.
Personalized learning flow
- Step 1
Learn & practice
Students receive lessons, resources, and exercises matched to pace and knowledge gaps.
- Step 2
Adaptive assessment
Exams adjust difficulty with instant feedback and explanations after each attempt.
- Step 3
Teacher insight
Dashboards highlight class performance, weak topics, and progress over time.
Bangladesh context
Bangladesh context
Bangladesh educates one of the world's largest secondary-school cohorts, with high-stakes NCTB and board examinations shaping student pathways. Many classrooms combine Bangla and English instruction, wide ability ranges, and limited time for individualized feedback. A responsibly designed adaptive platform could help teachers target remediation, reduce assessment bottlenecks, and extend quality practice beyond the physical classroom.
Research objectives
- Model student knowledge and learning pace to recommend personalized study paths.
- Generate adaptive exams and practice with calibrated difficulty and instant feedback.
- Provide teacher dashboards for class-wide and student-level performance monitoring.
- Support Bangla and English content where appropriate for local deployment.
Methodology
- 01
Collect curriculum-aligned item banks and learning resources with educator review.
- 02
Train or adapt models for knowledge tracing, item recommendation, and misconception detection.
- 03
Build student, teacher, and administrator interfaces with role-based access.
- 04
Evaluate learning gains, fairness, and usability through classroom or institutional pilots.
Expected outputs
- A prototype adaptive learning and examination platform.
- Teacher analytics dashboards and reporting tools.
- Pilot evaluation results on engagement, learning outcomes, and assessment quality.
- Open documentation for curriculum mapping and responsible deployment.
Seeking funding
MIRAI Lab is seeking funding to develop the platform prototype and run pilot deployments with partner schools or training institutions.
Overview
This project will develop an AI-powered platform that provides personalized learning and assessment experiences for students. It analyzes each student's knowledge, learning pace, strengths, weaknesses, and performance to recommend suitable lessons, resources, practice exercises, and study plans.
The system generates adaptive examinations with difficulty levels based on individual progress, provides instant feedback and explanations, identifies learning gaps, and helps teachers monitor performance through analytical dashboards. The project aims to improve learning outcomes, ensure fair assessment, and make quality education more accessible and engaging.
